Electric Vehicle Charging Points InstalledIt give us great pleasure to announce that we have installed electric vehicle charging points and we would like to invite our residents and visitors to charge for free for the next 12 months.
We have installed electric vehicle charging facilities at The Park Hotel in Kilmarnock, as part of our green strategy and wide-ranging customer service offering. Charging an electric vehicle at the site will be free to all users for the next 12 months. We have installed an EVolve 22k Charger (2 charging points) and an EV Raption Rapid Charger (2 charging points)
The Energy Saving TrustWe received funding from Transport Scotland, through a programme managed by the Energy Saving Trust; private organisations can apply for grant support to install a publicly-available charging point through Transport Scotland’s ChargePlace Scotland project. Home-owners who own or use an electric or plug-in car can also apply for grant support towards the installation of a home charging unit.
Gordon Anthony, Hotel Manager for The Park Hotel Kilmarnock said:As part of our continuing green initiative and reducing our carbon footprint it gives us great pleasure to be able to offer this service to all of our guests and event attendees.
Matthew Eastwood, Head of Transport in Scotland at Energy Saving Trust said:-We are delighted to provide funding for publicly accessible charging facilities at [organisation name]. Sales of plug-in vehicles have been increasing every year and we have no doubt that this trend will continue due to the substantial fuel cost savings that can be achieved. Facilities like these will help strengthen the national network of charging points and are crucial in supporting the growing number of EV drivers in Scotland.
