Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We recently went to The Park Hotel KIlmarnock for an early birthday treat. Though it was busy we were warmly greeted and shown to our seat. The menu offered a wide choice and we all chose different dishes which we all enjoyed. My good lady and I chose the creamy penne carbonara dish which was really good. The staff were also good checking up that our meals were to our satisfaction, an act that is not so often done now. The only point that we had was that the background music weas a bit loud. Would we return ? Yes !

We attended a wedding recently and unfortunately we experienced a very unprofessional manager, named Julie. The way she spoke to her staff during the dinner was very uncomfortable, I actually felt sorry for the whole staff team as they appear to work in a toxic environment. I have never seen a manager roll their eyes in front of wedding guests before. Other than this, the day was lovely and we cannot fault the rest of the hotel staff.

Good variety of food on offer Waiter, David was very attentive and helpful The food was so good, so tasty, well presented and ample to eat. We were so full we didn't order dessert but the chef sent out a lovely combo plate with Happy birthday written in chocolate as it was my brother's birthday. What a lovely surprise.

We went mid week hoping for a romantic night with a lovely atmosphere. This didn't happen as it was a football night and it was full of supporters. It was very loud but not rowdy. The menu is very limited to approx 5 starters, main and dessert. We asked for the main menu but were told we would need to wait 40 min.which we couldn't do.I had crayfish cocktail which had obviously been pre prepared as it was full of water at the bottom from the lettuce and cucumber,it was however full of crayfish which were very tasty.I then had haddock which was pounded very thin so not much of it but it did taste good. The chips were good and a nice side salad. My husband had goats cheese on sourdough then peppered chicken which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Attended the Hogmany function here with another couple. Table of 4. Very busy night. Seamless check in although arrived early.Evening food fantastic and great service. The entertainment was fab "Jersey Tones" were excellent although wish the DJ would've played an entire scottish tune from start to finish after dinner as most people enjoyed the sing a long! Staff were attentive and well worth the money for event. Breakfast was very busy in the morning, great selection of buffet food but good turnaround and food hot despite the large numbers.Room comfortable and no issues.Small charges for amenities noted in toilet.Tea, coffee, biscuits and water provided in the room.Overall, great night stay.

Attended a New Year function here. Well priced night with lovely food and great service. The entertainment was good and kept everyone very happy with lots of drinking and dancing. Staff were terrific and nothing was any bother. This is a nice venue for various functions and a vry modern building.

Dreadful sleep, creaking floor and every time upstairs moved we felt it. Beds were also really creaky so disturbed each other moving. Big pity though, as we enjoyed our meal and service earlier in the day.

Beautiful rooms. Although GPS guides to d football stadium which is a street down & it takes a little time to find d hotel. Restaurant is nice. View out of d window too is pretty. There is nothing to sight see here & for that u have to to Glasgow. A bus trip to Scotland too is feasible fm Glasgow.

All staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious with adequate wardrobe space and tea/coffee/ hot chocolate etc. I found it strange that no meals were available between the hours of 4.45 and 20.00hrs. The only option to eat between these times was in the bar but the menu was snacks consisting of toasties, bagels etc. As we wanted to have a sit down meal, we had to go into Kilmarnock Town Centre and managed to get a table for the 4 of us at the Longhouse for 5.45. Seems crazy to lose out on business by not having late afternoon/early evening meals available but this was my only criticism as we enjoyed our nights stay

Stayed here for four nights on a Shearing coach tour. Was worried that it would be a dodgy hotel chosen because it was cheap. However it was a cracking hotel. We arrived late due to traffic , after dumping our bags we went to a nice room reserved for our party. The evening meal had good choices and the three course meal was excellent. What made our stay so good was the lovely staff , without exception they were happy, helpful and kind. Our room was lovely and clean, spacious . The only thing that I would have liked was a small fridge. The buffet breakfast was very good , something for all. The morning staff were as excellent as the evening shift. All in all I would recommend the hotel.
